1. Tell us about it イベント情報を送る
The name, dates, venue, and a link to your event page. Write in Japanese or English.
イベント名、日程、会場、イベントページのリンクをお送りください。日本語でも英語でも構いません。
2. We check and translate 確認と翻訳
An editor checks the details against your event page and writes a short listing in English.
編集者がイベントページと照らし合わせて内容を確認し、英語の短い紹介文を作成します。
3. It goes in the directory イベント一覧に掲載
Your event appears on our Otaru or Sapporo events page until it ends (the Sapporo page opens Mon, Nov 9). We email you when it's live.
小樽または札幌のイベントページに、イベント終了まで掲載されます（札幌のイベントページは11月9日（月）公開）。掲載が始まりましたらメールでお知らせします。

Our editors pick each week's newsletter events on their own. A free listing can be picked, but it isn't guaranteed.

Our readers signed up for checked, local picks, written in English. That's why an editor reviews every listing, free or paid, and why paid placements will always be labeled as ads.

Is it really free? 本当に無料ですか？
Yes. Free listings cost nothing. Paid placements (pinned and labeled Sponsored) will come later, and free listings will stay free.
はい。無料掲載に費用はかかりません。有料プラン（上位表示、「Sponsored」表示付き）は今後開始予定ですが、無料掲載はこれからも無料です。
Do I need to write in English? 英語で書く必要がありますか？
No. Write in Japanese; we'll translate your event into English.

What events can be listed? どんなイベントを掲載できますか？
Events in and around Otaru or Sapporo that the public can attend: festivals, markets, exhibitions, concerts, workshops, and more. There needs to be an official page we can check, like your website, an event page, or a social media post. One free listing per organizer at a time.
小樽・札幌とその周辺で、一般の方が参加できるイベントです（お祭り、マーケット、展示会、コンサート、ワークショップなど）。内容を確認できる公式ページ（ウェブサイト、イベントページ、SNSの投稿など）が必要です。無料掲載は、1つの主催者につき同時に1件までです。
Who reviews my listing? 掲載内容は誰が確認しますか？
A Nihon Local editor. We check the dates, times, venue, and price against your event page, and we may shorten or edit the text to fit our style. We may decline events we can't verify or that don't suit our readers.
Nihon Localの編集者です。日程・時間・会場・料金をイベントページと照らし合わせて確認し、掲載スタイルに合わせて文章を短くしたり編集したりすることがあります。確認できないイベントや、読者に合わないイベントは掲載をお断りする場合があります。
How long does review take? 確認にはどのくらいかかりますか？
Usually within 5 days. Please submit at least 7 days before your event (or before its last day, for longer events). We'll email you when it's live.
通常5日以内です。イベントの7日前まで（長期開催の場合は最終日の7日前まで）にお申し込みください。掲載が始まりましたらメールでお知らせします。
Will my event be in the newsletter? ニュースレターに載りますか？
Free listings appear on the events page. Our editors choose the newsletter's weekly picks independently; your event may be chosen, but that isn't guaranteed.
無料掲載のイベントはイベントページに掲載されます。ニュースレターで紹介するイベントは編集部が独自に選んでおり、選ばれることもありますが、お約束はできません。
Can I change or remove my listing? 掲載内容の変更や削除はできますか？

What will "Sponsored" mean? 「Sponsored」とは何ですか？
When paid placements start, they'll always be labeled "Sponsored / 広告". Paying buys a placement, never a recommendation. See our advertising policy.
